general conference gems

the other weekend we got to enjoy general conference- a conference for our church filled with inspired leaders with inspired messages from our Heavenly Father. this time i just focused on listening and not scribbling tons of notes. i jotted down the things i wanted to remember most.

*you don't have to be perfect raising children, just honest and sincere.
*"the world will teach our children if we do not"
*for teachers, it's not about the content, but about the attitude in which they teach.
*immerse yourself in scriptures- you cannot love what you do not know.
*consecrate your life and time to GOD'S PURPOSES.
*repentance is the desire for correction.
*"all true work is sacred"
*turn the other cheek
*don't speed up during turbulence
*over-scheduling can be dangerous.
*some things brings us closer to Christ than others although they may be good things.
*to strengthen our relationship with Christ, we need to have some good alone time with him.
*there are 3 relationships that must be valued: with family, with fellowmen, with self
*choose faith
*you often do not see miracles until after the trial of your faith
*listen for the word the prophet will speak that will give you the serenity the Lord knows you need.
*we are free according to our flesh- we can also choose to have that freedom taken away.
*walk with gratitude. it's an attitude.
*love can and will overcome jealousy.
*amazing priesthood power is bestowed upon such young men, believe in them.
*holy ghost is a gift and a power- both can be used in daily life.
*support spouse when warning voice speaks to them.
*nothing impossible with Jesus Christ.

thank you general conference. thank you Heavenly Father. WE ARE SO BLESSED.
