road trippers

CANADA

we have been big road trippers the last few weeks. we dug out our passports and off to canada! they asked so many questions at the border... scary. we visited canada to see an area from josh's mission. he served in kingston, ontario for 9 months! now we only live 2 1/2 hours away.

josh's apartment as a missionary

we got to see some really cool families and attend the branch in Kingston.

the elders used the queen's university library to email home. It was really special to see where josh served. it is beautiful in canada, everyone is so friendly, maple leaf flags everywhere, and people do say 'eh'!

LAKE PLACID

the next weekend we headed to lake placid. it's a beautiful lake and village. they hosted the 1932 and 1980 olympics and you can still feel the olympic spirit in the air. josh had a conference there held in the olympic training center. sweet!

the museum was full of memorabilia from the olympics and had huge pictures of the "miracle on ice" game, had it playing on a screen, and the jerseys from the players. it's such an incredible story.
lake placid is surrounded by the adirondack mountains. adirondack chairs all over the town to lounge in.
bobsledders

every good road trip includes stops for ice cream

we don't mind hotels, futons, or air mattresses. we love a good weekend road trip!!!
