summer recap, part 2

there is really no way to start the rest of the recap, so here comes a slew of pictures. we love summer!

OUR GARDEN

started as this, then we planted our seeds and plantlings.

this is the only picture of harvest i got. we had a steady stream of tomatoes, zucchini, and some peppers all summer.

i loved being able to send josh out to pick before dinner.

LUAU

our backyard is so big, we decided 'we've got to throw a backyard party'. we decided to add a hawaiian twist.

mostly because jonah had this outfit i had to use.

we had tons of great food, the kids made candy leis, and we had families take their pic by our super fancy backdrop (haha) ... here is a sample. cute fam!

not a good picture of us, but the only one we got. i really didn't do well at taking pictures at the luau, but it was a lot of fun!!! might become an annual thing...

we enjoyed eating outside most nights this summer.

GROWING UP

jonah started eating solids and any food he can get his hands on. and started going up the stairs when i least expected it.

we loved hanging out with our cousins in rochester throughout the summer!

noah and jonah both grew so much from may to end of august!!!

we went to lake ontario and several other beaches. jonah loved holding his sunscreen every beach trip.

we visited DC... miss it!

we braved the crazy new york state fair with our friends, the halls.

the food was crazy. that's what the fair is all about right? we tried the bratwurst and fried oreos.

on that fabulous note, good bye fun summer! we'll keep on adventuring into the next season... and stay caught up too. *fingers crossed*
